In a tiny manger swaddled in hay
A little Baby gently lay
He was the Christ that we may
Celebrate Salvation Christmas Day!
A Donkey meek and humble mild
Softly Brayed to calm the Child
And Mary Nursed Him At Her Breast
And Little Jesus, He Did Rest!
The cows did moo and lambs did play
inside that manger bedded in hay
thus humbly born, the world to save
And Shepherds and kings and angels did pray!
We have been praying ever since
That Christmas Day of innocence
And God Gave Us Our Christmas Day
They day that Jesus came swaddled in hay!
